Sumi Gous's profile

Crazy Diamond Beer packaging

Master brewer and local watchdog, Eric van Heerden from Triggerfish Brewery again brewed up a diamond and Sumi Creative|Co was fortunate to be in charge of the design. The brief was simple for this sparkling label: "go crazy". For this exceptional beer Eric teamed up with Cockpit Brewhouses' Andre de Beer. According to them "they are stretching the bounderies of local craft beer. This belgian double IPA releases a taste explosion that has to be experienced. The Cullinan and Somerset West versions each has their own character and should be tasted to understand the impact of variations in the process on the same recipe." Needless to say these characters, including both of them, all appear on the label. On the one side you will see a pilot-like character, Andre, and on the other side you will see a charachter with the well known Triggerfish brand on his T-shirt, that is Eric. The collaboration is masterly reflected in the combination of plane and fish all over the place so you will see some funny fishies or airplanes what ever way you want to look at it. The two companies went the whole nine yards and only 190 bottles are available and they come in a special wooden box with a wrapping that will keep you busy for a while as the label is taken appart on this wrapping with an explanation of the meaning of each of these modern rock art (pictoglyphs) characters from Sumi Creative|Co. So drink this beer with its own newspaper loaded with information and read it, get crazy and educated. As we speak Eric is busy on facebook so the 190 bottles became 120 so hurry! Pink Floyd would have been very jealous! Shine on you "Crazy Diamond"!!
